Equipment of the CO-SPACE

The Engineering CO-SPACE is being set up as a modular space, with mobile furniture, and materials for different age groups.

The CO-SPACE contains mobile seats and tables for circa 20 people. It is organised for modular usage, e.g., tables can be moved away and soft seats can replace them for

  • individual activities, with programmable electronics and laptops,
  • group activities, with pen and paper.

The CO-SPACE provide participants with advanced technical tools and devices to use under the supervision of academics or technicians:

  • 2 3D printers
  • 1 compact and safe laser cutter
  • 1 blade cutter
  • different programmable boards (e.g., Arduino UNO, Arduino IoT, Pico W boards, Pico Bricks)
  • different electronics devices
  • educational robots, e.g., LEGO ones
  • 1 desktop for multimedia elaboration and using the laser cutter, blade cutter and 3D printers,
  • 20 Linux-based laptops running FUSS and managed in collaboration with the LUGBZ Linux user group of Bolzano.
